10:15:20 PM Unbelievable, I went shopping today. Everyone knows how much I hate shopping. :) But guess what? I DID go shopping, but what I bought was tons of books. There is a book fair in Kaohsiung county, all the books are having considerable discounts. Depends on where the book is placed, in some area, if you buy three, you will get 50% off, and five will be 60% off. In other areas, some are 25% off, some are three for $200 NT (equal to $6 US dollars), some are even only $35 NT for each. The cheapest and most valuable books are the "World Geography Magazine" (directly translate from Chinese), only $20 NT for each! My parents and I bought about 34+ books total, including 16 World Geography Magazines, a book about genius, a book about Taiwanese puppet show (a gift for my neighbor), a book by Li Ao (he has been nominated for The Nobel Prize in Literature 2000), a book about "pi", folk songs from Africa, and many more. And for all of these, we only spent $2500 NT. Usually it will cost at least $6000 dollars to by them all. What a nice price we got! Today, I think I can sleep happily... No, I cannot even sleep! lol! Just TOO HAPPY! 7.20.2001 4:23:45 PM
